FAYETTEVILLAINS SAVE YOUR JUNKMAIL! (Also Eureka people, too!) I'm learning how to write this stuff. Please save all your junk mail and catalogs, as they are now study materials.
Special note to corvus93 and yalith : I'm bringing back filing cabinets to put this stuff in. Beg metal filing cabinets, with locks on them, should you wish to secure our Secret SI Central Documents. Also they'll keep me from making a mess, as much as any device can. Also I'm bringing back a fuckload of printer paper. | | Tuesday, December 6th, 2005 | | 4:56 pm |

I HAVE YOUR SMOKES RIGHT HERE BAY-BAY!
Well actuall I don't, but I will pay you back for four or five. Also I got my phone turned back on the other day (and I've got the reciept for any you mo fo's waht doens't belive it was off) and bought insurance b/c I thought I'd lost it (you people don't believe me...i goth that, too!) and know I've got it and should returnn calls (like, soon...lemme sleep first, heh?--Harlan...). But maybe I'm just an asshat for general purposes, idunno. "I'm not a unicorn: go out and get another one; you're not a dying sun: there's always another ray to your heart. I'm holding out for a spaceman..." But on a slightly similar note, I do honor Odin and Loki and Thor and Freya and Frey, b/c they are my ancestry and family, but it seems like a lot of the others who honor them don't have quite the same perspective, nor do they realise that what was considered Human in Ancient Anglo Odin's time is a very differnt thing than the post-Shakespeare (to say nothing of the post-Laurie-pop-avant-garde-I-always-kne w-you-could-do-it-Laurie-Illinois-fuck-N ew-York-Anderson-I-always-knew you-shared-a-lot-in-common-with-Garrison-K eilor) person is. I love my kin, but sometimes it's like trying to explain how Odin can be modern...well jsut don't do it...to some people it can't be done. All of our Pagan myths are pre-Shakespeare, and some people can't even see past the Oprah, even though they claim to hate her...okay now I'm going on a rant. Well I love the effort the reconstructionsits put into it, and I'm glad they come up with very factual material, but if you want to talk about anything post-Shakespeare then you've at least got to show that you know how to dance, that's all I'm sayin'... So today I start my community service with Washington County. I pay them ten dollars to work. Today I'll be getting fingerprinted and booked, etc., since technically I'm doing time (though I'm already on file with Washington county--nothing major--so this may not be an issue). And I have to bring my own lunch. The GOOD part about this all is that I got to sleep early and woke up even earlier. I meant to get to sleep even earlier than that, but couldn't resist hanging out on Bro. Tangpau's porch and talking for a while last night after I drove him back to Eureka Springs. He's one of my favorite people, plus his place kicks ass; there were about four or five deer hanging out about thirty or forty yards from the porch. We had a bit of Bushmills w/out getting actually drunk and just sat back and talked, every shot was a toast of some sort, and some tourists drove while we had our shots tipped back--a nice Eureka scene for'em. Good times. Somehow, I woke up before 6:30 this morning. I didn't get a tremendous amount of sleep last night, but then I was only up for about thirteen hours yesterday, which helps. We had a good mass, too, during which I finallly put down the security blanket of a full script (thanks to SWL for their Deacon Missal, it's great), so I was able to get caught up and washed in more of the goings-on and energies from the Mass, great stuff. Time to go and do this shit, I guess. | | Wednesday, August 17th, 2005 | | 4:58 pm |
Jobless and Happy
So this is the longest I've gone, in my adult life, without holding a steady job (there were a couple of years wehre I lived off of grants and loans--I consider that to be keeping a steady job of sorts, if only b/c I had a reliable source of income). Most of my non-kitchen jobs have been fairly labor intensive (building mobile homes, landscaping (okay that's not nearly as intensive but moreso than it sounds, anyways), lifting heavy objects), and even when I worked in kitchens I had periods of two-jobness (one of these periods was 8 hrs/day kitchen and 5-7/night at UPS during xmas season, then 4.5-5 a night afterwords). But now I'm lazy and--ya know what?--I like it. I'm certainly not going to complain; the job market up here isn't nearly what it is in Little Rock, and it's even harder to get the kind of job I want (waiting tables--these jobs seem to be taken up by those who are thinner, younger, and typically speaking more female than myself. Such is life, especially in a college town.),but neither is it the worst in the world, and I know if worse comes to worst I can always go with a suck-job. I know from experience that if I ever find my finances too short to pay the bills, I can find and work some sort of labor job, but until it comes to that, I'd rather not start a job that I think is shit. Yeah, these last couple of years as a loan-collector have really spoiled me... I'm living off my college fund but I don't see myself going in the spring anyways. I'm on campus today getting things settled so that I can register tommorrow--hopefully I can get into that graduate form and theory class, as it'd be more helpful from a writing standpoint than any of ther other classes offered (yes, even the workshops. I think workshop format is pretty dumb, if you want to know the truth. In general, anyways). If I could soemhow stretch this not-job-having thing for, say, the rest of my life, that would be great... | | Tuesday, July 26th, 2005 | | 3:21 am |

Job, anyone?
One of the bakers in Bentonville got fired tonight. They could probably use somebody if anyone wants. (9 to start, 10.50 after training and probationary period (all--in--all it's about three months I think), very good, very cheap health and dental, and I'm told that one of the guys who works for Bentonville gets eleven bucks a day road expense to help offset gas and the drive. Just in case either of ya'll wanna check it out. | | Friday, December 3rd, 2004 | | 8:24 am |
 | You scored as alternative. You're partially respected for being an individual in a conformist world yet others take you as a radical. You have no place in society because you choose not to belong there - you're the luckiest of them all, even if your parents are completely ashamed of you. Just don't take drugs ok?
